More momentum than I've had in months!

I've sent out about 10 messages today and I already have 1 coaching session and one virtual catch-up scheduled, and I started a conversation with a former manager about bringing coaching to his department. More momentum than I've had in months!

You don’t need more connections. You need the right ones.

You've done the transactional networking events. You've had the coffee chats. You've joined the Facebook groups, the Slack communities, the "women in business" mixers that should have expanded your world, and somehow all feel the same.

And yet, when you really need support, an introduction you trust, a thoughtful referral, someone who understands the level you’re operating at, the list is often shorter than it should be.

That doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong.

Most women in business were never taught how to build a network intentionally. We were taught to be helpful, visible, generous, and patient and to hope the right relationships would eventually form on their own.

But intention matters, and visibility without direction rarely creates the support we’re actually seeking.

This experience gives you a clearer way forward. In five focused days, you’ll develop a grounded understanding of your current network, articulate the standard you want to hold going forward, and begin building relationships that are aligned with who you are now, not who you used to be.

What Happened in the Last Round of BUILD YOU DREAM NETWORK in March

Last March, women joined the first round of Build Your Dream Network.

Most of them strangers to each other on Sunday night. By Friday, real introductions had been made between them.

Sandi Shipley set up two calls in one afternoon doing the Day 3 reconnection exercise.

Lucy reached out to a friend she hadn't spoken to in five years and the friend came to her event the same night.

And two women in that room are now launching new Nova chapters this year. Virginia Beach and the East Bay.

That's what the right room produces in five days. The next round runs May 18–22. Five days from now, your name could be on this list.

Lauren Rapp moved to NW Chicago, joined Nova not knowing anyone, mentioned in passing she wanted to step into community-building, and a month later was sitting on the council of the NW Chicagoland Constellation.

And three women in that room are now launching new Nova chapters this year. Virginia Beach, the East Bay, and a third coming in Sacramento.

How It Works

This experience is intentionally simple.

Each day, you’ll receive:

  • a short written or audio reflection

  • one focused action (20–30 minutes max)

We’ll also gather for live calls:

  • Challenge runs Monday, May 18 – Friday, May 22

  • Kickoff Call: Monday, May 18 at 12pm MT / 2pm ET (45 min, live)

  • Coffee Drop: Tuesday, May 19 at 12pm MT

  • Coffee Drop: Wednesday, May 20 at 12pm MT

  • Coffee Drop: Thursday, May 21 at 12pm MT

  • Closing Call: Friday, May 22 at 12pm MT / 2pm ET (75 min, live)

Plus an active WhatsApp group running alongside it all where the women in the room actually meet each other, share what's coming up, and start building the connections that outlast the challenge.

So Relieving

Can I just say it is SO relieving to be in a networking space, talk about my spiritual gifts, and BE SEEN.

- Lizzie Langston

Paradigm Shifting

Genuinely paradigm-shifting. I'll be thinking about Day 4 for months.

- Lexis Kreig

Rewriting Standard

This rewrote my standard for what a network should feel like.

How It Works

This experience is intentionally simple.

Each day, you’ll receive:

  • a short written or audio reflection

  • one focused action (20–30 minutes max)

We’ll also gather for two live calls:

  • Day 1: Orientation, context, and how to approach the week

  • Day 5: Integration, reflection, and how to carry this forward

Everything is delivered via WhatsApp and designed to fit into a full life, not take it over.

What You’ll Do Each Day

The Compass

Clarify where your network is actually meant to take you.

You'll write a letter from yourself a year from now, naming where your network is meant to take you. This isn’t what worked five years ago or what sounds impressive…Where you're actually heading.

The Mirror

See the asymmetry between what you give and what you let yourself receive.

You'll audit reciprocity honestly. Most of us already know how to give. The work is in receiving. The asymmetry between those two columns is the entire point.

The Pour

Reach out to one person and lead with something real, no ask attached.

You'll reconnect with one person you've drifted from, and lead with a pour — something specific, useful, no ask attached. This is how trust gets rebuilt.

The Door

Name the one specific door you want to walk through this year.

You'll name ONE specific door that, if access opened, would change your year. Then a room of 200+ women helps you find the bridge.

The Practice

Build the one weekly habit that will compound over 90 days.

You'll design a weekly practice you'll commit to for 90 days

Hear from Past Participants

The first round brought 207 women into one room together and what came out of it was real:

real reconnections and real introductions in the weeks that followed.

Meet Your Host

Hi, I'm Melissa, founder of The Nova. A global community for women who are done with performative networking and ready for something deeper.

I spent over 15 years in corporate and direct sales leadership before I built a business and community that runs almost entirely on relationships. Going viral was never the thing. Relationships were the thing.

Every client, every collaboration, every opportunity that changed my life came through a connection. Someone who knew my work. Someone who trusted me. Someone who said my name when I wasn't in the room.

That's not luck. That's what happens when you build with intention.

I created this challenge because I've watched too many brilliant women spin their wheels. Visible but not known. Connected but not supported. Working hard but doing it alone.

I'm here to show you a different way.

Your next meaningful opportunity is likely already within reach.

The clients you want. The collaborators you’d respect. The support that actually understands the level you’re operating at.

None of it starts with strangers. It starts with building the right relationships intentionally, over time.

In five days, you’ll understand your network more clearly, raise the standard for how you build relationships, and begin cultivating support that feels aligned, reciprocal, and sustainable.
